London Organisers Network

08 Nov 2008, By

There are few reasons to be up and about for the 0607 train down to London Euston on a Saturday morning. In a previous life Everton away at West Ham may have been one of them, but today me and Carl aren’t heading to Upton Park but are on our way down to the London Organiser’s Network event, Organise 2008.

There’s going to be a huge range of speakers and workshops (everything from organising in global supply chains to mobilising to beat the BNP), so it should be a good day. We are helping to facilitate a workshop looking at what more unions can do to put lay reps and stewards at the heart of their organising efforts. This kicks off dead on 3pm, so no chance at all of sneaking off for a couple of hours to east London!
