Writing on the Wall Festival

06 May 2009, By

A quick plug for an interesting looking festival currently taking place in Liverpool which runs to the end of the month.  Writing on the Wall describes itself as a festival of outsiders: writers, musicians and artists well-known for defying convention and corporate attitudes.

Interestingly for trade unionists, one of the sessions marks the 25th anniversary of the miners strike with a discussion on the role of the media during the dispute, chaired by Daily Mirror (and former Liverpool Echo columnist, Brian Reade).
