Protest at Sotheby's London

Our Southern and Eastern Region (SERTUC) joined PCS and Prospect members to protest outside Sotheby’s auction house in London this morning, in solidarity with art handlers at the New York headquarters of the business who have been locked out in a dispute over management attempts to slash their terms and conditions.

Talks between Southeby’s and the Teamsters trade union are underway this week, so this wasn’t meant to be a mass protest, but we’ll be back in force if Sotheby’s don’t settle. In the meantime, have a look at the website the Teamsters have set up: Sotheby’s – bad for art.
